Marc
Zuckerman
Nov 13, 1963 — Jun 22, 2026
Marc Zuckerman, 62, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on June 22, 2026, following a motorcycle accident.Born on November 13, 1963, in Kansas, Marc spent much of his childhood moving from place to place as the son of a military family. He eventually settled in Ottawa, where he raised his family, before later living in Philadelphia and finally making his home in Ocala, Florida. Florida was where Marc truly belonged.Marc worked for Exclusive Enterprises in Ocala, where he was known as a hardworking and innovative supervisor. Marc embraced life with curiosity and enthusiasm. He was always ready for an adventure, whether it meant discovering a new restaurant, relaxing at a favorite dive bar, hunting for hidden treasures while thrifting and antiquing, or setting off on his motorcycle with nowhere particular to be except the open road. He believed life was meant to be experienced. Those closest to Marc knew that his greatest peace was found in his garden. With an incredible green thumb, he lovingly cared for countless plants, often spending hours each day watering and tending them. Sharing that passion brought him just as much joy, and many family members and friends have plants from Marc that will continue to grow as living reminders of his love and generosity.Music was another lifelong passion. Marc had an impressive collection of vinyl records and guitars, and there seemed to be no song he didn't know. Whether sharing music, talking about artists, or simply listening to a favorite record, music was one of the many ways he connected with the people around him.Marc was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Michaela Tebo.He is survived by his loving parents, Mike and Donna Zuckerman; his sister, Dawn Dyer; and his three daughters, Jordanne Zuckerman (Rob Oppenlander), Meagan Besse (Bryon Besse), and Mara Bray (Tyler Bray). He was a proud grandfather to Kaitlyn, Billy, and Bryson Besse; Elaina, Hadley, and Burke Bray; and Brody and Aubrey Oppenlander. His family was his greatest source of pride, and he cherished every moment spent with them.In accordance with Marc's wishes, private family services will be held. His ashes will be spread at Anna Maria Island, Florida—his favorite place in the world—where his beloved sister, Michaela, was also laid to rest. It was only fitting that the man who always made sure he was never more than 60 miles from the beach would find his final resting place beside the water he loved most.In lieu of flowers, the family encourages those wishing to honor Marc's memory to nurture a plant, discover a new favorite restaurant, listen to a beloved record, take a scenic motorcycle ride safely, or simply spend a day by the water in remembrance of the life he so fully embraced. If you knew Marc, chances are he gave you a plant, introduced you to a great restaurant, played you a song you'd forgotten you loved, or reminded you that he was never more than 60 miles from the beach. He lived life with an adventurous spirit, an open heart, and an appreciation for the simple joys that made every day worth living. That is exactly how he will be remembered. His ride is over, but his song continues.
