It is with great regret that the family of Marcia Posey reports her passing. Marcia was born December 14, 1950 to Delphine and Walter Selbman, and passed at at the age of 73 on April 29, 2024.

Marcia is survived by her husband, Craig, her son, Mychael, and daughter Melissa, as well as her stepdaughters Clare, Charlotte, and Cassandra. She is also survived by her brother Keith and sister, Dawn, as well as four grandchildren.

Marcia was a life long learner, nurse, and teacher. Doctor Marcia Anne Miller Posey EDD, MSN, BSN, ARNP FNP, started or revitalized nursing programs at Bethune Cookman College, Southwest Georgia Technical College, Florida Southern College, and Southeastern University. She left her mark on generations of nurses.

A memorial service will be held to honor her memory on May 18th at 1PM at Port Orange Christian Church, 904 Taylor Rd, Port Orange, FL 32127. Please, donations to the American Cancer Society or Barber Fund in lieu of flowers.

Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Society located at 620 Dunlawton Ave, Port Orange, FL 32127 are handling her last wishes prior to placement at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, Florida.
