Margaret "Peggy" Ann Taylor

It is with great sadness that the family of Peggy Taylor announces her passing on Thursday, February 15, 201 8 , at the age of 70.  Peggy was born in Fairmont, West Virginia. She was married to William (Bill) Taylor in La Mirada, California in 1966. She spent many years in La Mirada and Corona, California; in Fort Wayne, Indiana; and in New Port Richey, Florida. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edwin Ray Horner Jr. and Betty Millicent (French) and her brother, Edwin Ray Horner III.

A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, Peggy will forever be loved and missed by her best friend and devoted husband of 51 years, Bill Taylor; her daughter Lara Mulpagano and her husband Tom Mulpagano; her daughter Chanda Taylor Carpenter and her husband Allen Kuhn; her grandchildren Max, Zoe, Nata, and Fritzson Mulpagano and Evan Carpenter; her sister Lisa Middleton and husband Greg Middleton; and her aunt Willa Jean French.

Peggy was dedicated to her family and lived a life of generosity, kindness, and service to others.  Peggy, along with Bill, was an enthusiastic cheerleader for her children and grandchildren. She loved to encourage and support them in their pursuits, whether it be music, art, cooking, math or science. She and Bill particularly enjoyed music, including jazz and classical and they were joyfully supportive of their grandson Max on his journey to become a professional musician.

She leaves behind a treasure trove of beautiful needlepoint and other hand arts. She passed along her love of reading and lifelong learning to all her family and they will miss her book and movie suggestions so much. She was a selfless individual and inspired her children to follow her lead by volunteering and helping anyone in need.

She operated a food bank in Fort Wayne, Indiana for many years under North Christian Church. She worked for many years in the Visiting Nurse organization, which further amplified her compassion for others. Prior to retiring, Peggy worked for PSCU in St. Petersburg, Florida as a Credit Disputes Representative. Bill and Peggy found their ideal retirement home in the On Top of the World community in Ocala, Florida where they resided for the past three years.

The family will be memorializing Peggy privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Interlochen Center for the Arts .
