Obituary

It is with a mixture of joy and sorrow that we announce the passing of Margaret (Maggie) LaNier.

Joy, because she is now at home with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Sorrow, because we who love her dearly will never cease to miss her love, wisdom and presence in our lives.

Margaret was placed on the earth in the beautiful island of Jamaica 82 years ago. She was the eldest child of Eloise (Wong) and Arnold Buchanan. She was shy but loved life and enjoyed travel. Margaret immigrated to Canada where she lived for many years and then to the United States where she spent the remainder of her life. She passed away peacefully at her home in Titusville, Florida on August 1, 2021.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years David LaNier, daughter Karen Black, son Carlos (Karen) Black and her three grandchildren whom she adored, Aaron (Val) Black, Lauren Black and Kristian Black. She also leaves behind a brother Orville Buchanan, sister Barbara (David) Ann, and nephews O'neal, Adrian and Leo. Margaret was predeceased by her father Arnold Buchanan, mother Eloise (Eric) Wong and sister-in-law Alice Buchanan.

A memorial service will be held at St. Gabriel's Episcopal Church, 414 Pine Avenue, Titusville, Florida, a church she loved and attended for many years.
