Margaret (Peggy) Carreno of Leesburg, Florida passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026 at the age of 84. She was born on August 20, 1941 to the late Alfred and June Meyers. Peggy worked as an administrative secretary for 26 years in the Dade County Public School system. She married Rudy Carreno on June 29, 1968, and together they shared 57 ½ beautiful years. Peggy loved crafts, photography, singing, dancing and spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

She is survived by her husband Rudy; her son Mark Carreno and wife Brittany of Lakeland, Florida; her daughter Melissa Frigo and husband Brent of Riverview, Florida as well as her 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her 2 brothers Donald Meyers of Sunrise, Florida and Mike Meyers and wife Janet of Ocala, Florida and one niece and nephew. 

A funeral service will be held on Monday February 16, 2026 at Saint Paul Catholic Church, 9:45 am.
