Margaret Draper Kennedy Schneider, MBA, SPHR, 82, 0f Daytona Beach Shores, FL, passed away on January 10, 2021 from complications of Parkinson's Disease. She was born on January 4, 1939 in Buckingham Township, rural Tama County, Iowa to the late Fred and Lucille Draper.
Margaret graduated from Hudson High School (IA) in 1956. In 1989, she completed a B.A. in Business/Management with emphasis in Human Resources at the University of Northern Iowa and in 2000, earned an MBA with Distinction, with emphasis in Human Resources from Keller Graduate School of Management, Orlando Campus. Margaret's life choices and 35-year Human Resources career allowed her to reside in and explore all corners of the United States, contributing to corporations, communities, universities and colleges, and to churches, organizations and Boards of Directors through leadership, management, consulting, and teaching positions. She was trained in Deming-Based Quality, and strongly supported and practiced concepts of continuous improvement and learning, and of employee involvement and development.
In her spare time, Margaret enjoyed spending precious moments with her children and their families, cooking and entertaining with friends, sewing, rehabbing houses and antiques, and music. During the 1960's, Margaret sang with dance bands in the Gulf Coast area, performing at USO's, military clubs, country clubs and night clubs. She retired from her long, broad, rewarding career at the age of 75.
Margaret Draper Kennedy Schneider is survived by her four children: Kathryn Chambers, ANP, of West Palm Beach, FL, Robert C. Kennedy, PhD. (Dawn) of Casselberry, FL, Richard M. Kennedy (Rose) of Sanford, FL and Kristyne Kennedy, Attorney at Law, of Orlando, FL, her stepdaughter Linda Gaul (Kevin) of Waterloo, IA, Lisa Crundeles, along with five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions are encouraged to be directed to Parkinson's Disease research and awareness, i.e., the National Parkinson's Foundation or Michael J. Fox Foundation.
