Margaret Ella Grove Shuffitt, formerly of Bowling Green and Woodburn, Kentucky, died Tuesday, March 26, 2019

Margaret Ella Grove Shuffitt, the youngest of six children, was born December 13, 1936 in Blountville TN. She was born in an Abe Lincoln style log cabin, on the Grove family farm she dearly loved.
She attended Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga for two years after graduation from Blountville High school. She was married to Bruce on August 18, 1957 in Chattanooga and they celebrated 61 years of marriage together. She had two children before going back to college in 1978. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in special education from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY in 1980.
During her life, she and Bruce lived in many different residences in Kentucky & Tennessee, before retiring in Florida. She taught in several elementary schools as a teacher and substitute. She had a talent and desire to teach scripture memory to children. As a child, she learned to memorize Bible verses while attending Salem United Methodist Church in Blountville. Margaret loved spending time in the mountains of East Tennessee especially the Smokey Mountains.
She was proceeded in death by her parents William Ray Grove and Geneva Haze (Bowlin) Grove; son, John Mark Shuffitt; brothers Foch Grove, Frank Grove and James Grove; sisters Lois Davenport and Ellen Rudd. She is survived by her husband Bruce Shuffitt; daughter Sheila Bush and son-in- law Kim Bush, and daughter- in- law Suzanne Shuffitt. She leaves three granddaughters, Kate Shuffitt, Sarah Shuffitt, and Joyful Bush, as well as one grandson, Jackson Bush. Margaret was a wonderful aunt to several nieces and nephews. She was a great friend and prayer warrior to all.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 11 am.at the River Life Assembly of God Church, 2872 West Dunnellon Rd, Dunnellon, Florida 34433. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Margaret's name be made to the Mark Shuffitt Southeastern Youth Fair Scholarship fund, PO Box 404 Ocala, FL 34478
