Margy Beth
Behling
October 2, 1948 – April 17, 2026
Margy Beth Behling, age 77, of Honolulu, Hawaii, departed this earth on April 17th, 2026. She was born on October 2, 1948, in Sidney, Ohio, to the late James and Mary (Silver) Cartwright of Botkins, Ohio. Margy was a 1966 graduate of Botkins Local School. Margy married Kenneth Behling of Wisconsin, who passed on October 23, 2011.
Margy was one of ten siblings. Living life are brothers Tim Cartwright of Hubert, North Carolina, Peter Cartwright of Minster, Ohio, and sisters Melanie (Mike) Egbert, Mary (Pat Altsteatter) Kennedy both of Botkins, Ohio, and sister-in-law Mary M Cartwright of Sidney, Ohio. Also step daughter Sally (Dick) Renk of Tavares, Florida. The last several years were shared with a dear friend and travel companion, James "Seamus" Denny. Margy has now joined beloved family in heaven; brothers R. Joel Cartwright, Jay Cartwright, Jacob Cartwright, as well as brother-in-law Tom Kennedy. Sisters Muriel (Ed) Wharff, Molly (James) Mays and step daughter Susan Behling.
Margy fiercely loved her family and friends and possessed a zest for life. She received her officiants license and married her niece, Faye Kennedy, to Andy Brogan in an Hawaiin setting in December of 2021. She was actively involved in tennis, playing regularly and enjoying watching the sport, as well. Her love, generous and helpful spirit followed her throughout her life. Margy's vibrancy will be sorely missed by all who knew her. She was deeply grateful to her nephew Joel D. Cartwright and wife, Tina, for always hosting her visits to Ohio.
Margy chose cremation and a Hawaiian-themed celebration of life will be held at Botkins Memorial Park on June 27th, beginning at 1PM and ending at 4PM. The gathering is open for all those who wish to honor her memory.
