IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Maria Luisa
Arcila-Jerez
December 4, 1968 – June 3, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of María Luisa Arcila-Jerez — a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Born on December 4, 1968, in Bogotá, Colombia, María passed away on June 3, 2025, in Cape Coral, Florida, at the age of 56.
María's life was a beautiful tapestry of love, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. She shared a joy-filled life with her husband, Eddy Jerez, and together they raised three incredible children: Ana María Eyrich, Luis Alejandro Jerez, and Daniel Jerez. She warmly welcomed her son-in-law, Philip James Eyrich, into the family, and nothing brought her more happiness than becoming "Tita" to her cherished grandchildren, Andrew James and Sophia Rose Eyrich. Her love for them knew no bounds, and her presence will remain forever etched in their hearts.
María dedicated her life to caring for others, both within her home and in the community. Throughout her journey, she embraced many roles — Human Resources psychologist (Col), stay-at-home mother, social worker, paraprofessional, and most recently, life coach. In each role, she shared her kindness, insight, and unwavering support with all who crossed her path.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alejandro Arcila and María Dolores Atuesta Galvis. She is survived by her loving husband, children, grandchildren, her brother Santiago Lozano-Atuesta, and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
María will be remembered for her deep faith, generous heart, and enduring love. Her strength and compassion touched countless lives, and her legacy will continue in the hearts of those she inspired.
A private funeral service will be held in her honor on June 20, 2025, at 10:45 AM at:
St. Andrew Catholic Church
2628 Del Prado Blvd S, Cape Coral, FL 33904
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor María's memory through an act of kindness.
