Maria Cristina Hernandez, age 69, of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away May 27, 2025, at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, Florida.    She was born in Bogota Colombia, on June 15, 1955, to parents, Onofre Espejo and Graciela Orjuela. Maria attended San Augustine College and graduated with an associate's degree.

Maria Cristina worked for the Lee County School District. Her favorite activities included travel and caring for her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents. Maria Cristina is deeply missed by her husband, Yesid Hernandez; sons, Yezith Hernandez, Jeffrey Hernandez; daughter in-law, Alicia; grandsons, Anthony Hernandez and Yezith Hernandez; granddaughter, Isabella Hernandez; brothers and sisters, Pedro Lillia, Imelda, Guillermo; nieces and nephews, Bibiana, Michele, Alexander; great-nephews, Mike, Samuel, Emily and Logan.

Maria Cristina's Memorial Mass will be held on June 28th at 10:45am at St. Andrew Catholic Church 2628 Del Prado Blvd, Cape Coral, Florida.
