Maria Jaworska, (age 89), of Crescent City, Fla passed peacefully on February 5th  2009.  Maria was born in Nowo Radomek, Lodz, Poland on July 4th, 1919 to Stanislaw and Jozefa Nita.   During WW II she served with the Polish Army in Italy and the Middle East where she earned the Italy Star, Defense Medal and War Medal 1939-1945.     In 1956 she emigrated from England to the United States residing in Newark, NJ  where for 20 years she worked for United Airlines.   She moved to Crescent City, Florida in 2004.     Maria is survived by her two sons, Sylvester and Jack, and by her four grand children Alissa, Daniel, Brandy and David, and nephews Janek and Stacek, and niece Malgosha.     Maria's final resting place will be at The National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa, Doylestown, PA.
