Maria Alice Martins Marques, 71, of Fort Myers, passed away June 9, 2020 at Joanne's Hope Hospice in Bonita Springs, FL. Born October 12, 1948 in Lisbon, Portugal, she was the daughter of Benjamin Custodio Martins and Belmira Godinho Martins.

She was the wife of the late Antonio Rosa Marques, who she survived 10 months, 10 days and 10 minutes – now finally resting together. Alice served as a chemist in Portugal before moving to America at the age of 30. Alice devoted her life to her family; she was  light-hearted, jovial and a true friend. She enjoyed time with her grandchildren Andrew and Brianna, as well as enjoyed reading, theater, music and Portuguese culture. Surviving are her daughter Ana Emilia Marques of Fort Myers, FL, son  Antonio Pedro Marques of New Bedford, MA, grandson  Andrew Marques DaRosa of Shelton, CT, and grandaughter Brianna Marques of South Dartmouth, MA. Also surviving are numerous family members in Portugal.

Arrangements entrusted to Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home of Fort Myers, Florida. A memorial mass will be held at a later date in accordance with COVID-19 guidelines.
