Marie Burke Devine passed away on September 11, 2024, in Citrus Florida, surrounded by her family and loved ones after a sudden illness. She was born in Hartford Connecticut on October 13, 1952, and attended South Catholic High School, in Hartford. She was married to John Devine and was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and cousin.

She was well loved and enjoyed her family time and looked forward to being with her loved ones and celebrating all of the Birthdays and Holidays (including St. Patrick's Day), and special events with the grandkids. She grew up in Connecticut where she worked at Greater New York Life Insurance Co. and moved to Florida where she worked at Pioneer Title Company, retiring as the Office Manager.

Marie and her husband raised their three daughters, Michelle Powell (Juan Carlos Leal, life partner), Lisa York (Adam York) and Sheila Green (Gabe Green) and where her 4 grandchildren – Dylan Durava, Jordan Powell, Victoria York, and Alyssa York all enjoyed the pleasures of Florida living. Marie leaves her two sisters, Carol Sedor (Michael Sedor) and Barbara Loubier (Paul Lightfoot, life partner), and her brother-in-law, Timothy Devine and sister-in-law, Marcia Devine. She had one niece, Stacey Powell (Howard Powell) and one nephew, Jason Clark, (Patricia Clark), and 4 great nephews.

Marie was an artistic person who enjoyed making jewelry, working with arts and crafts, dancing, traveling, playing cards and board games with her family and friends. She also enjoyed the many Morrow Family Reunions at Long Lake in Van Buren, Maine. She loved the time spent and memories made with dozens of cousins and multiple generations of family who came together every 5 years or so from all over the country to celebrate their Morrow family history and just being together.

The family will be having a private Celebration of Life in the near future, and they ask that everyone who knew Marie to please Celebrate her Life in their own way, through their individual memories and photos of a beautiful and loving person.
