Ms. Marie R. Newman of Groveland Massachusetts and The Villages, Florida passed away on July 5 ^th of short sudden battle with cancer.  Previously of Melrose MA.  Born and raised in E. Boston, MA. Graduated from E. Boston High School.  Marie was retired from the Food and Beverage Management Industry and was licensed in real estate.  Marie enjoyed golf, beaches, warm weather, cooking, crafting and family. Marie comes from a big family in which meant the most to her, especially her grandchildren.  Marie also had many friends who adored her. Closest friends Madeline Pistone and Shawn O'Brien.

Marie is survived by her daughter Maria A. Hurley and partner Gunars Zandbergs, her son the late Richard J. Newman, grandchildren Angelica Marie Rose Hurley and Zachary John Richard Monaco. Her long time companion Richard Spinelli.  Also, her siblings, brothers Francis Dunne, John Dunne his wife Carol and James Dunne and his wife Gerri.  Her sister the late Joyce Koulouvaris and her husband Jerry. Maries parents were James and Rose Dunne.  Marie is also survived by her Godchildren and several loving nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life along with memorial service will be held on Thursday July 18 ^th at 4:00 pm at Teresa's Function Facility at the former Thomson Country Club  (rt. 62) 20 Elm St. North Reading, MA.  All are welcome.  There will be a burial service at Wildwood Cemetery Winchester, MA on Friday July 19th @ 11:00 am.  In lieu of flowers please send donations to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network 1500 Rosecrans Ave. Suite 200, Manhattan Beach CA 90266  website: www.pancan.org .
