Marie Josephine Perrotta, 85 of Edgewater died  Thursday, September 19, 2013 with her family by her side.  Marie was born June 24, 1928 in Manhattan, New York to the late Concetta and Joseph Falletta.  Marie married her husband Albert R. Perrotta on February 19, 1950.  They settled in Matawan, NJ to raise their five children.  Marie worked in child care development for many years.  Her love of children and people along with her nurturing, compassionate, and selfless nature was evident to all that knew her.  She is survived by her  husband of 63 years, Albert Richard; her loving and devoted children, Vincent Perrotta, Marie Thulin, Joanne (Michael) Sergent, Albert (Rhonda) Perrotta and Caroline (Michael) Kirschner; five cherished grandchildren, Christy, Michael, Joseph, Albert II, Breonna and Marie's sister, Jean Noce.  A funeral service will be held at 1PM, Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at the Baldwin Brothers Heritage Place, 1 N.
