Obituary

Marie Elaine (Miller) Ricigliano, age 82, of Englewood, Florida, formerly of Hamilton Township, New Jersey, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Sunday, June 14, 2026.

Marie was born in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Marcelene (Trueax) McMonigle and John W. Miller.

After attending Delhaas High School in Bristol, Pennsylvania, Marie followed her heart and became a licensed cosmetologist. She was a master of her craft and eventually opened her own salon, The Curling Iron, in North Philadelphia. After 25 years, she hung up her scissors and began working at the Hamilton Township tax office, where she rose to the position of Assistant Tax Collector.

Marie was a terrific home chef and party planner who enjoyed travel, dancing and spending time with family and friends. Quick with a joke, she was always the life of any gathering. She had an unmatched sense of humor with an unmistakable laugh that could be heard throughout the room. When she laughed, people would say, “there’s Marie!” Things were always fun when Donnie & Marie were there! She had many talents, but her true passion was interior design. Her homes were always impeccably decorated; some would say magazine-worthy.

She was a proud member of the American Legion #0113, the Englewood Eagles Auxiliary #3885, and volunteered for many other community groups and events.

In addition to her parents, John and Marcelene, and her sister, Janet Ashton of Wilmington, Delaware, Marie was recently predeceased by her beloved husband of 54 years, Donald R. Ricigliano, Jr. Marie is survived by her daughters Kristi Marie Ricigliano of Hamilton Twsp., New Jersey and Toni Marie Vandenberg of Galveston, Texas; her grandsons, her niece, nephews, and cousins.

Cremation arrangements are being handled by Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Society, Port Charlotte, Florida. A Celebration of Life Service will be held from 1-3pm on Sunday, July 12th, at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 250 Old Englewood Rd., Englewood, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marie's name to Englewood Fire and Rescue (EFD or EFBF) 579 S. Indiana Avenue Unit B-1. Englewood, FL 34223
