Venice, Florida. - Marilew Lord, 92, passed peacefully away into the arms of her Lord, Monday, December 29, 2025. Marilew was born in Montclair, New Jersey and later moved with her family to Overbrook Farm in Rider's Mills, NY. She was a graduate of New Lebanon Central School, NY, and tried her hand at writing, painting and speaking. Marilew, a prominent member of many faith communities and active in her local church will be missed. She had a heart for those down-trodden and assisted in various ministries to the poor. She was dedicated to her extended faith family at the Center of Hope, in Venice Florida and in the Ministry of 100 Church in North Port, Florida. Marilew is predeceased by her mother Elizabeth Knowlton Babcock, her two sisters, Alexis Edmister, Sarah Burns and her brother David L. Babcock. She is survived by her sister, Sarah’s husband, Bob Burns. The inurnment will be beside her sister at the Old Chatham Union Cemetery, Shaker Museum Rd. Old Chatham, NY
