Marilyn "Lynne" Quick Snowden, born on May 1, 1949, in Decatur, Macon County, Illinois, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2024, in Leesburg, Lake County, Florida. Lynne attended the University of Alabama, where she developed a lifelong love for the Crimson Tide. Throughout her career, she excelled as a flight attendant, worked in public relations within the auto industry, and was passionate about creating jewelry.
Lynne's hobbies reflected her vibrant spirit. She enjoyed line dancing, both as a participant and instructor, made beautiful jewelry to gift to others, and spent time puttering around in her golf cart. Known for her keen organizational skills, Lynne had a warm heart and a generous soul, evident in her dedication to organizing Thanksgiving dinners for her neighborhood and serving on the welcoming committee. She adored gardening and took great pleasure in dressing beautifully, always adorned in clothes and jewelry that reflected her radiant personality.
Lynne was remembered by those close to her for her sense of humor and kindness. A devoted Christian, she was deeply service-oriented, often helping her neighbors and sharing her faith. She is survived by her sister, Ann Quick, and her nephews. Lynne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William "Bill" Clarence Snowden; her parents, Cletus Henry Quick and Nettie Henrietta Kirkley; and her sister, Nettie Faye Quick.
