Mrs. Marion I. (MacIver) Scanlan passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026 in Florida. She was 88 years old. Marion was born on June 2, 1937, in New York City New York. 

Marion trained as a secretary and began her career working at a local bank. Later in life she transitioned into a role at Bradlees Distribution Center where her skills left a lasting impression. 

Family was the cornerstone of Marion’s life. She was predeceased by her husband Paul H. Scanlan who passed away in Florida on April 15, 2017. They were married for about 60 years at the time of his passing. 

She is survived by her devoted children: Ruth Hager, Kim Milliken, Sharon Larsen, Paula Peterson and Paul Scanlan. Marion’s legacy lives on through her twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Janice Springhetti. 

Marion found happiness in attending activities at the senior center (bingo) and playing cards with friends. She enjoyed dancing with her husband and going on Disney cruises with her family. She lived the last years of her life in the Villages, Florida with 2 of her children. She enjoyed the nightly music in the Villages, dancing and time with family and friends.

 Marion’s memory will be forever cherished by those who knew and loved her. May the moments shared with this remarkable woman bring comfort to all those whose lives she touched.
