Marjorie Green Burkett, 91, of Pinellas Park, Florida, passed away September 30, 2026.

Marjorie, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was born March 10, 1935 in Highland park, Michigan to Arthur and Vivian (Lavigne) Green.

She graduated from Royal Oak High School in 1953. The next year, she married H. Thomas Burkett II in Royal Oak, Michigan on October 23rd.

She also worked at GTE Yellow Pages for over 27 years where she retired in 1999.

In her spare time, she enjoyed playing cards with her family and playing games on the computer. She also loved watching game shows and old movies.

Marjorie dedicated her mornings to the Lord, watching Christian programming, reading her Bible, and praying. She has left behind a legacy of faith, inspiring her family to read and listen to God's Word each day. She even sent out a Bible scripture weekly and an inspirational message each evening to her family and close friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, H. Thomas Burkett II; her brother, Arthur "Bud" Green (Norma); her sisters, Carolyn Harrison (Bill) and Alberta Leonini (Carlo); and two sons, Richard and Jeffrey.

She survived by her two daughters, Victoria Speck (Richard) and Sherry, both of Pinellas Park, Florida; her two sons, Thomas Burkett (Deanna) of Greer, South Carolina, and Ronald Burkett of Pinellas park, Florida. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of life will be held on November 8, 2026.
