Celebration of Life and Tribute for Marjorie Ross-Van Pelt, 82, Edgewater FL who died peacefully at home surrounded by her family will be 6:30 PM Thursday, March 18 at the Church of the Nazarene on 201 S. Orange St., New Smyrna Beach, FL. and 2:00 PM Saturday, March 20 at Bay Springs Freewill Baptist Church.
Marjorie was born in Plainfield, Georgia and came to this area in 1960. She was a charter member of Smyrna Freewill Baptist Church. He family remembered her devotion to her church and family. She owned and operated Marge's Fabrics in New Smyrna Beach for many years.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Arthur Van Pelt, children Marcia (Rick) Jones of Lake Helen, Fl, Nancy (Richard) Dennard of Edgewater FL, Polly (Tommy) Granger of New Smyrna Beach, Jeffrey Ross of Edgewater FL, Arlette Dennard of Edgewater FL. Rodney (LuAnn) Van Pelt of Charleston, SC, Artie (Lane) Van Pelt of Atlanta, Anella Van Pelt of Jacksonville, brothers Hollis (Jo) Smith, Edison (Wynell) Smith, Billy Joe Smith, Gerald (Betty Ann) Smith, sister Vicene (Ray) Rearden, 11 grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and a host of family members.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years James Emmett Ross.
