Obituary

Mark Wilfred Bellehumeur passed away in Port Charlotte, Florida, on July 16, 2026, at the age of 76. He was born on July 12, 1950, in Windsor, Ontario, to Doreen and Hebert Bellehumeur.

Mark spent his career working for Chrysler Transport. After retiring, he moved to his cabin in Northern Michigan, where he enjoyed a quieter pace of life. He later became a snowbird and traveled throughout the United States, first spending time in Arizona and then in Florida. Mark eventually made a permanent home in Southwest Florida, where he happily spent his remaining years.

Golf was Mark’s greatest passion. He spent every waking moment he could on the golf course, enjoying the game that brought him so much happiness. Golf was more than a favorite pastime for Mark—it was an important part of his life.

Mark is survived by his loving partner, Cecilia, whose companionship brought him happiness and meant so much to him; his children, Matthew and his wife, Rachel, and Krystle; his four grandchildren, Laura, Mya, Sara, and Jalynn; his two great-grandchildren, Mila and Lucy; his brother, Bill; his sister, Gail; and his sister, Anita, and her husband, Lloyd. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews with whom he shared a close and loving bond, and who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his sister, Cathy.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. at The Bean Depot Cafe in Port Charlotte, Florida. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate Mark’s life.

An additional Celebration of Life will be planned in Michigan/Windsor, with details to be announced at a later date.
