Mark Richard Houck, age 67, born in Columbus Ohio, passed away peacefully at Fort Myers Hope Hospice on Friday, March 25, 2022.

He is survived by wife Ruth, her daughter Jennifer Reese, and his sister Beth Hansen, as well as two nieces, three nephews and their six children.

A graduate of Vanderbilt University in 1976, and University of Miami School of Law in 1979, Mark practiced law in Florida for over 30 years.

As founder of Houck Anderson PA in 1992, he later merged his firm into the Chartwell Law Offices, LLP in 2013. Among his accomplishments Mark worked in Admiralty and Maritime Law. He also taught at the University of Miami, for 10 years.

Mark was a highly respected honest litigator. He is recognized by his colleagues in the law profession as among the 'Best Lawyers in America'.
