Obituary

Mark Andrew Infanti, aged 64, passed away peacefully at home in Venice, FL on Monday, April 29, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones including his wife, son, sister-in-law Patty Wright and adored dog, Murphy.

A wonderful, faithful, and devoted husband, father, and friend, Mark will be missed tremendously by those who knew him.

Mark is survived by his beloved wife and partner of over 33 years, Irene Long Infanti and his son Patrick Rudy Infanti. Mark is predeceased by his parents Ronald Infanti and Margery (White) Infanti as well as his sisters Michele (Joe) Kausler and Melissa (J.R.) Capasso, and his many aunts and uncles.  Mark was a beloved uncle to his nieces Katie Wright, Jade Thompson, and Tori Wright, and nephew Devin (Mandy) Thompson.

Born in Trenton, NJ and raised in Hopewell, NJ Mark was a proud and accomplished graduate of Hopewell Valley Central High School (1977) and Juniata College (1981).  Mark or "Shep" as he was known, was a member of the Juniata men's soccer team where he made lifelong friendships he treasured for the entirety of his life.

Mark spent many years in the marble and granite business and had his own installation business (Counter Intelligence).  Raising his family in Roebling, NJ, he loved coaching soccer, teaching young men the value of sportsmanship and hard work. He also enjoyed spending summers at the shore, at his home in South Seaside Park, NJ.

A lifelong hunter and fisherman, Mark was happiest when he was outdoors enjoying nature.  He was a charter member of the Colonial Sportsmen's Club in Hopewell, NJ.  Mark greatly enjoyed his hunting trips in Canada and most recently, Georgia.  He also enjoyed reading, listening to music, and spending time with those he loved.

Those of us who were fortunate enough to know him in life will forever feel his presence in the gentle rustling of wind through the trees, the page turning of a good book, the shining of stars in clear night's sky, and roar of breakers crashing on the shore.

Donations in Mark's memory can be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation at T2T.org.  A private Celebration of Life is being planned to honor Mark in his native New Jersey.
