Mark Foskett Willman, 78, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at home in The Villages on November 15, 2024. He was born in Worcester, MA on March 20, 1946, to Glenn and Ida Willman.

Mark attended Algonquin Regional High School and Worcester Junior College in MA. He later pursued higher education at the University of Miami, where he met the love of his life, Melinda. Mark and Melinda's 54-year love story was a testament to their enduring bond, ignited by youthful motorcycle rides and blossoming into a lifetime of shared adventures.

Mark's love of computer science led him to a rewarding career managing complex technological projects at Dow Chemical in Florida and Michigan.  He concluded his professional journey at Citigroup in Tampa.

A skilled problem-solver with a quick wit, Mark could tackle any challenge. From intricate home projects to impromptu grandparent duties, he always had a tool, a joke, and a root beer ready. His adventurous spirit drove him and Melinda on countless explorations across the United States in their 5th wheel. They were modern-day pioneers charting their course through national parks and wilderness areas, much like Lewis and Clark.

Beyond his love for family and travel, Mark was an active and energetic man. He embraced life with enthusiasm, whether it was playing hockey, landscaping the yard, hunting grouse, or joining Melinda in pattern partner dance class. He was a true inspiration, showing us all that it's never too late to learn, grow, and enjoy life to the fullest.

Mark is survived by his loving wife, Melinda; his daughters, Martha (Ryan) Ford and Maggie (Marc Ingalls) Willman; his grandchildren, Connor and Cecelia Ford, and Charlotte, Violet, and Bennett Fuller; and his siblings, Skip (Sharon) Willman, Sally (Melvin) Riley, and Jane (Steve) Hanscome.

A funeral service celebrating Mark's life will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Wildwood, FL on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 10:00 am.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Mark to PSC Partners Seeking A Cure ( pscpartners.org ).
