Martin B. Caron Sr., (Marty) age 83 died peacefully at home on February 7, 2022 in South Daytona, Florida.

Martin was born on May 23,1938 in Saint-Jean-de-la Lande, Canada to his parents the late Eugene Charles Caron & his wife Yvonne Aurore (Thibodeau). Martin was the oldest of 16 children. He is survived by sisters Helene, Collette, Annette, Lucie, Marie & Annie. Surviving brothers Charles and Laval. He is preceded in death by siblings Berthe, Jeanne, Bridgette, Louise, Bernard, Pascale, & Remi.

Martin was Senior Foreman for Maryland Applicators from April 1991 until he retired in Nov. 2010.

Preceded in death by his wife Sarah (Downs-Powers 2021) whom he married April 6th 1996 and the two created a beautiful blended family.

Surviving are children Martin Caron Jr. (Lani), Yvonne Caron, Cindy Benham, Anna Nylander, Chuck Powers (Heather) and Danny Powers (Crystal) along with his grandchildren Kari (Chad), Martin III, Helen, Josh, Kathleen, Joey, Anthony, Michael, Bailee & Daniella.

Being a Poppy to his 3 Great Grandsons Donavon, Camden & Cooper gave him such happiness.

Marty was a Member of the Elks & Moose Lodge. He served as a Trustee for the Eagles 4402 in South Daytona where he dedicated most of his free time and had so much pride in the club. He enjoyed golfing & watching football. His friends and family will always remember him as a joking, happy man whose smile lit up a room. He never met a stranger. The stories of memories he shared will live on in everyone along with his favorite saying "Come on Now"

The family invite his friends and extended family to join them in a Celebration of Life on February 27, 2022 at Noon for a ceremony and brunch at the Original First Turn located at 5236 S. Ridgewood Ave. Port Orange.
