Martin James Fitzgerald, Jr., 76 years old, of Ocala, Florida passed away on November 24, 2019.  Martin was born in Utica, New York on January 18, 1943, to Winifred White and Martin Fitzgerald, Sr.  After graduating from Notre Dame High School, he served in the U.S. Army.

Martin worked as a professional firefighter/EMT for the city of Utica.  He retired after 20 years of service and relocated to Ocala.  Martin was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church.

Martin is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia Pytko Fitzgerald, daughter Christine Fitzgerald (Earl), son Kevin Fitzgerald, daughter Maureen Fitzgerald Silber (Daniel) and son, Owen, daughter Erin Fitzgerald Dennis (Michael) and children, Rian and Evan. Brothers Gerald and Timothy Fitzgerald (MaryEllen),  brother-in-law Robert Humphrey, many nieces and nephews, and his faithful service dog, Bernie.

Martin was predeceased by his sister, Elizabeth "Jill" Humphrey and sister-in-law, Anne Fitzgerald.
