Lynda was born October 13 th , 1952, in Markham, IL.  In June of 1986, she moved to Port Orange, FL with her husband and two daughters.  Lynda earned her master's degree from the University of Central Florida and was employed as a counselor for Stewart Marchman Center for 25 years until her retirement.

She was a long-time member of First Baptist of Daytona Beach and was baptized by Brother Bobby Welch in 1996.  In addition to attending weekly services, Lynda enjoyed attending the annual holiday programs.

The beach and pool were Lynda's favorite spots and she spent many hours reading and relaxing by the water.  She also traveled frequently and spent time with her countless friends.  Known for welcoming people into her home, Lynda often had guests, roommates, and people who just came to stay for a while, hanging around.  Her house was always full of people and cats.  She loved her cats and has had as many as 7 cats at one time.

When not at home, Lynda could be found having a cocktail at one of the local watering holes, where she listened to music and enjoyed dancing.  Her favorite pastime was hanging out on her back deck with family & friends and "telling lies".

Lynda's family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life not the sadness of her passing. Until we meet again…

A graveside service will be held at Woodland Cemetery, 399 Orange Ave, Port Orange, Thursday November 9 th , at 2:00 pm.  The family will receive friends immediately after the service at the home of Lynda Clifton, 3648 Francis St. Port Orange, FL 32129.  Baldwin Brothers, Port Orange is in charge.

Special thanks to the wonderful nurses at Optum, and the staff at Seaside Health & Rehabilitation for the special care and attention they provided the last year.
