Mary Ellen DiCarlo, originally of Medford, MA and a longtime resident of Punta Gorda, FL, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 9, 2024, from complications associated with cancer. She was surrounded by loved ones in the days leading up to her passing.

Mary Ellen is survived by her five children: Nicholas, Elizabeth, Christopher, Amanda, and Jessica; six grandchildren: Sara, Sofia, Julian, Mya, Enzo, and Aliana; her mother and stepfather, Constance and Charles; and her siblings Daniel and Eric. She was preceded in death by her brother Robert and her father Leonard.

Mary Ellen dedicated 18 years of her life to Merry Maids of Port Charlotte, where she formed lasting bonds with her clients and coworkers. She will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.

Mary Ellen found her greatest joy in spending time with her pets and her grandchildren. She maintained a deep connection to her Massachusetts roots, visiting whenever possible. In her leisure time, she pursued her passion for genealogy, tracing her family's lineage back through the centuries.

A private ceremony will be held by her family to spread her ashes in the coming months. Details for the ceremony will be shared at a later date.

Mary Ellen DiCarlo's kindness, warmth, and love for her family and friends will forever be cherished. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.
