Mary Ellen (McGuinness) Roedel, 81, formerly of Bay City Michigan, passed away on January 29, 2026, in Cape Coral Florida. She was born in Bay City Michigan to John and Helen (Brunner) McGuinness on December 4, 1944.

Mary Ellen and Edward were married on March 15th, 1963, in Bay City Michigan. One of Mary Ellen’s accomplishments was her Master of Science Degree in Administration from Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant Michigan. She also was a proud member of MENSA.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her infant sister Pricilla of Bay City, Michigan. She is survived by her husband Edward, her children Jacinda Roedel of Portage, Michigan, Bethany (Mike) Mutter of Cape Coral, Florida, and James Roedel of Bay City, Michigan. She was a proud grandmother to 4 grandchildren, Cody (Ashley) Mutter, Casey (Rick) Peterson, Brandon (Alyssa) Vukelich, and Alyssa (Marcus) Kole, as well as a great-grandmother to Nathan and Jensen Vukelich.

Mary Ellen will be interred at St Patrick’s Cemetery in Bay City, Michigan later in the year.

She will be missed by her family and will forever be in our hearts.
