Mary Lee Foreman, 90, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away on November 7, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. Mary Lee was born to Albert and Geneva Cameron in Columbus, Ohio on October 25, 1934. Shortly thereafter the family moved to Kenton, Ohio where Mary graduated from High school being active in Orchestra and marching band. During high school, she met Ronald L. Foreman and they were married in 1953. Mary completed the cosmetology program and worked in beauty shops for one year. When her husband was called to active duty in the army she accompanied him for five years. During that time three children were born; Christopher Alan, Ronald Lee, and Cheri Lynn (Gerecke).

After returning to civilian life, she became chairperson for Christian education at the first United Church of Christ in Castalia, Ohio. Later she worked in the state office for the same church while her husband was finishing his doctorate degree at Ohio State University. She became the director of Christian education with the UCC church in Berea, Ohio. After a move to Illinois her preschool education allowed for a new opportunity. A family tragedy occurred in her life as Christopher required an operation and fell into a coma for eighteen months. Mary and Ron moved west to be close to him. After his passing and a move to Arizona she became the director of the preschool program of a large nondenominational church in Mesa. The final service was as teacher of a preschool at the Methodist church before retirement. She has resided in Port Charlotte, Florida for the remainder of her life.

Mary will be remembered for her loving and caring example to her husband, children, 4 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. She will also be remembered for her dedicated service to Christian education, the young, and to the parents who entrusted their children to her.

A visitation for Mary will be held at New Day Christian Church located at 20212 Peachland Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL 33954 on Thursday, November 14, 2024, from 10:00AM – 11:00AM with a funeral service to follow.
