Mary Ann Louise Glennon, 75, of Lakewood Ranch, Florida, passed away on May 30, 2026, after a brief illness.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts on October 12, 1950, Mary Ann was the only daughter of Andrew M. DeSantis and Mary DeSantes (Vecchio).

Mary Ann graduated from Hyde Park High School in 1968, before dedicating her early adult years to raising her family. As a stay-at-home mother, she poured all of her heart and energy into building a loving home for her children, Gregg and Alyson.

After raising her children, Mary Ann transitioned into a career as a travel agent; which paired perfectly with her love for travel. In 2008, she married Thomas F. Glennon, and together they spent many beautiful, healthy years, traveling the world and experiencing hundreds of new places hand-in-hand.

In 2008, Tom and Mary Ann retired to Florida from Massachusetts, embracing their retirement in The Villages, where they enjoyed many years of sunshine and golfing with their beloved dog, Blitzen. In 2021, they relocated to Lakewood Ranch, Florida, to be closer to family.

Mary Ann will be remembered by her family and friends for her great sense of humor, wit, and ability to be the life of every party. Throughout her life’s journey, her faith in God never wavered, even after the tragic passing of her beloved son, Gregg.

Mary Ann is survived by her daughter Alyson Battaglia, and son-in-law, Joseph; her brother Thomas DeSantes and his sons, Thomas and Brian DeSantes. She leaves behind three grandchildren-Benjamin, Isabel, and Andrew, all of whom she was immensely proud and who meant the absolute world to her.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas, on February 8, 2026; her loving sister-in-law Cynthia DeSantes on January 13, 2026; and her dearest son Gregg on April 2, 2014.

A private family service will be held to honor Mary Ann’s life.
