Mary Louise Helmbright (Mollie) of Port Charlotte, FLA., went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 2, 2023.  She was surrounded by her family and best friends in the comfort of her home of 23 Years.  Mollie was born October, 22, 1938 to Paul and Alice Duke of Columbus, Ohio.  She was raised with one brother, Paul (Benny) Duke whom she adored and was her best friend

Mollie lived her life dedicated to her beloved late husband, Bernard L. Helmbright and their four children, Tammie (Brandt), Tina (Vaughn), Bernie (Helmbright), and Nikki (Wagner).  They raised their children in Columbus, Ohio until relocating to Port Charlotte in 1998.  Mollie was blessed with nine amazing grandchildren who loved her dearly and were very active in her life and struggles through her illness.  In addition, she had a very special relationship with her nephew Stephen Duke, of Pataskala, Ohio.  She lived for trips to Daytona Beach with "her girls" and card playing with family and friends!  She longed to see her husband, mom and brother again and was devout to her Catholic faith.  Mollie was a loyal friend to all, a faithful child of God, and a pillar of strength and courage.  Her legacy will carry on in our hearts forever.

Memorial mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 5265 Placida Rd. Englewood, FL. Saturday January 6 th at 11:00 am.  A reception will be held following the mass at the church hall.
