IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary Ann
Hildebrandt
January 16, 1947 – February 3, 2025
Mary Ann Hildebrandt, 78, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2025, in Ocala, Florida, surrounded by the love of her family and friends.
Born on January 16, 1947, in Lincoln Park, Michigan, to Sophia and Steve Toth, Mary Ann lived a life filled with kindness, generosity and fellowship. She was a class of 1965 Lincoln Park High School graduate and went on to study at Henry Ford Community College in Dearborn, MI.
Working at AAA for 37 years, Mary Ann built a career marked by loyalty and lasting friendships.
On January 19, 1985, Mary Ann married the love of her life, Wolfie, in the beautiful setting of Kauai. Together, they shared traveling, laughter and companionship. Their journey eventually led them to Ocala, Florida, building a home in the community of dear friends. Mary Ann cherished the friendships she built, especially with her cherished "Lunch Ladies" of Pine Ridge and neighbors in Stone Creek.
Mary Ann was an important part of a prime group of 15 women that lovingly call themselves the Birthday Girls. For over three decades this group of ladies has shared moments of ecstasy, joy, silliness, boredom and sadness as only very good friends can. Mary Ann continued to be part of the group even when she left Michigan for Florida and could only share in get togethers infrequently. Miles don't separate the love these ladies have for each other. Mary Ann has now joined the elite set of Birthday Girl Angels. She and two others watch over their friends from above and remain securely in their hearts.
Mary Ann was a devoted member of St. Raphael of Brooklyn Orthodox Church and dedicated to her Russian Orthodox religion. She found great comfort and strength in her faith community.
Affectionately known as "Teta" to her beloved nieces, Melanie and Lisa, Mary Ann was a source of warmth, love and spoiling.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Wolfgang; brother, Bill (Pat) Toth; nieces, Melanie and Lisa Toth; and several close cousins, Claire (Rich) Boie, Cynthia (Fred) Coffin, Charlene Pelfrey, Cal Toth, Rick (Sandy) Scott, Nancy Green, Elna Kerr, Maryann Gill, Nancy Cook, Bill (Cindy) Hritz, John Paluch, Christina Paluch, Anita Ondreyka, Barbara Harp; goddaughter, Ami Hritz and her brother Chuckie Hritz who will forever cherish her memory.
Mary Ann is now resting in peace, joining her mother and father, Sophia and Steve Toth; cousins, Chuck Toth and Bill Paluch; as well as several close aunts and uncles who played significant roles in her life, Joe (Mary) Toth, Clara (Frank) Zakar, Louie (Rosie) Szekley, Paul (Jean) Toth, Mildred (Sam) Scott and Charlie (Corky) Toth, Julia (Johnny) Hritz, Catherine Cook, Sam "Babe" Pollick and Jackie (Kathleen) Nolan.
Mary Ann's kind heart, laughter, and unwavering faith touched all who knew her. A memorial service and luncheon along with a private burial next to her parents will be held at a later date in Michigan, honoring Mary Ann's wishes. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Liver Foundation or the Humane Society of Marion County in her honor.
May she rest in peace, embraced by the faith she held so dear.
