Obituary

Mary Ann (Malesky) Hughes, the beloved wife of Don Hughes, entered her final resting place in Heaven on July 19, 2025.  Mary Ann was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease approximately 12 years ago and waged a valiant battle with this horrible disease. She passed away peacefully with her husband by her side at Sumter Senior Living in The Villages, Florida.
Mary Ann and Don met in the fifth grade at Fifficktown Elementary School in 1953. They dated in high school and were married in 1962 in South Fork, Pennsylvania. It was a marriage filled with unending love and wonderful memories to be cherished forever. She was truly the love of his entire life.
Mary Ann was the loving mother of her three children, all in Overland Park, Kansas. Diane Aaronson, wife of David Aaronson; Robert Hughes and his wife Denise Hughes; and Cindy Louise Kirby, wife of Jon Kirby. She loved each of her children deeply along with her grandchildren- Nicholas Aaronson; Grace (Aaronson) Habeck, wife of Jonahs Habeck; Tyler Kirby, Andrew Kirby and Soncia Hughes. Her children and grandchildren were her proudest achievement and her pride and joy.
Mary Ann is survived by her twin brother Larry Malesky of Summerhill, Pa. and was preceded in death by her Mother Helen Malesky and Father Charles Malesky and brother Frank Malesky.
Mary Ann's great hugs will always be remembered with love and never forgotten. This soft spoken, kind lady was loved by everyone who knew her.
Baldwin Brothers Funeral and Cremation Society of Wildwood will be responsible for all arrangements.
