Obituary

Mary Catherine Maule, 67, of Ocala, FL, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at her home, her loving husband of 23 years, Gary R. Maule, by her side. They moved to Ocala, FL from Sherrill, NY two and a half years ago.

Mary was a devoted wife, sister, aunt, and grandmother. To Mary, family was a treasure and a blessing, and she made it known, by the way she took your face in her hands and just squeezed! She leaned heavily on her faith in God and could truly be called a Sister in Christ. She was outwardly thankful for all the blessings Jesus had bestowed on her throughout her life.

Mary worked with children for most of her adult life and was a strong advocate for those with special needs. Her students adored her fun-loving spirit. She spent many hours volunteering at her church (both in NY and Florida) in various ways. She taught Sunday school, sang solo and/or with the choir, and was involved with many fellowship activities.

An avid photographer, Mary photographed countless weddings, family portraits, and senior pictures. She had an angelic singing voice, played guitar, and wrote many songs. Mary was a wonderful and creative baker, and she sold her delicious cookies at the local market, where she was beloved. She was that rare soul who made everyone she met feel special.

Mary absolutely LOVED her animals. Over the years she had many birds, rabbits, and fish, but her true love was her golden retrievers. Her dogs were truly an extension of Mary, and one would often find her walking them through her village or development. It seemed like everyone knew Mary and Mary knew everyone! And the common thread that followed her from New York to Florida and everywhere in between is that everyone loved her.

Mary is survived by her husband – Gary R. Maule of Ocala, FL – her brother – Joseph Salvatore Trinca and his wife Bernadette of Buffalo, NY, Sister – Donna Schriever and her husband William of East Aurora, NY, Brothers – Daniel Trinca of Phoenix, NY, and  John Trinca and his wife Tracy of  Owasco, NY, many other beloved and dear Nieces and Nephews, Stepdaughter – Anne Maule Farley and husband William of Wolcott, VT, Stepson – Matthew Maule and wife Nicole of Cato, NY, Stepson – Andrew Maule of Pinellas Park, FL, Grandchildren – Liam and Eloise Farley of Wolcott, VT, and Grandchildren – Michael, Jacob, Patrick and Evelyn Maule of Cato, NY.
