Mary Lou Muthig, 75, a longtime resident of Newburgh, N.Y., died November 13, 2021, in The Villages, Fla. Born November 12, 1946, in Newburgh, she was the daughter of Gaetano ("Guy") and Mary Cianfrogna. Marylou graduated from Newburgh Free Academy in 1964.

Mary Lou worked as an educational secretary at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh/ She later worked as a teacher aide in the Wallkill Central School District. She was passionate about her family and loved traveling to Italy with her cousins.

Mary Lou is survived by Allen Muthig Sr., her husband of 54 years; her sons Allen Muthig Jr. of Newburgh, and Marc Muthig and his wife Kim, of Largo, Fla.; granddaughter Mackenzie Muthig of Wallkill; her niece Susan Mizner of Arizona; her cousins the Tarsio family and her longtime dear friends. She is predeceased by her parents; her sister, Jeanette Williamson and her husband Charles Williamson; her brother, Vincent Cianfrogna; and her niece, Janice Williamson.
