IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary “Mamie”
Redman
October 14, 1913 – May 28, 2019
Mary "Mamie" Redman, 105, passed to her heavenly home on May 28, 2019. She was born in Elmsford, New York on October 14, 1913 to Joseph and Josephine Mortell.
Mamie was a seamstress for her sister, Sara, in White Plains, New York for many years. She lived in Armonk, New York, for nearly 40 years and was heavily involved in Church activities. She moved to Florida 11 years ago to live with her niece, Marilyn Bauer, who now resides in the Village of Gilchrist.
Mamie was known for her positive attitude, faith, love of family, friends and life and constant smile. She enjoyed attending all events with the neighbors in Gilchrist and riding in her niece's golf cart around the Villages. No one could believe she was 105!
Preceded in death by her husband, Billy, and all her siblings: Sara Barker, Rose Iverson, Josephine Curley, Joe Mortell, Frank Mortell and Margaret Bauer; and niece, Jo Ann Bancks and nephews, Bob Mortell and Tom Curley. She is survived by her ten nieces: Elaine Perilli, Sandra Nittoli, Audrey Curley, Beverly (Bob) Thate, Carolyn (Bryan) Gibbs, Marilyn Bauer, Georgia Lynn (Kenny) Jewell, Brenda (Don) Althoff, Cathy (Ken) Crumbacker and Bicky Jo Redman and many great nieces and great nephews.
Mamie will be buried at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in White Plains, New York in her family plot. A Celebration of Life will be held in The Villages later this summer. Online condolences may be expressed at www.baldwincremation.com .
