Mary Carol Salsman, 59, passed away at AdventHealth Center Orlando on March 23, 2019. Carol was born in Elizabethtown, Kentucky on November 30, 1959. She grew up in various towns in Kentucky and graduated from Waggener High School in Louisville in 1977. She attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in English, minor in Accounting, in 1981. She worked in Orlando as a bookkeeper for more than 35 years and more recently as a tax accountant, and as an online fashion and beauty merchant. She had a forceful personality and was fiercely protective of her bookkeeping clients, once prompting a written letter of apology from the IRS to a long-time client. She was an avid book reader, and container gardener, multiple times winning Patio of the Month awards.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents, David Odell and Frances Rhea Salsman. She is survived by a sister, Martha Salsman Hernandez (husband Jeff), of London, UK and Austin, TX; two paternal aunts in Kentucky; and cousins in Kentucky, Tennessee, Michigan, California, and Alaska.
