Mary Katherine (Palanes) Spaid, 60, of Ocala, FL, passed away November 4, 2016.  Born in Johnstown, PA, she came to this area in 1987.  Mary was a retired social worker and an active member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church both in attendance and volunteer work.  She was a member of the Zonta Organization, supported Girl Scouts, enjoyed helping others, and had a special love for dogs.  She is survived by her son, Vincent Robert Spaid (Moira Elizabeth) of Clermont, FL; mother, Eva Rita Palanes of Ocala, FL; sister, Rita Marie Bostwick of Ocala, FL; brothers, Alan Paul Palanes of Ocala, FL, and Brian Charles Palanes (Terri L.) of Somerset, PA; sister-in-law, Kimberly Sue Palanes of Central City, PA; nephew, Christopher James Palanes, and niece, Amy Lynn Palanes, both of Somerset, PA.  In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society.  Visitation will be held at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church (5 SE 17th St. Ocala) on Tuesday (Nov. 8th) from 8-9AM followed by the Funeral Mass at 9AM.  Interment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Central City, PA.  Arrangements by Baldwin Brothers Funerals & Cremation, Ocala 352-236-5884.
