Obituary

Maryellen (Sullivan) Denomme (Age 78)
Has passed away on Thursday 1/29/26.
She was born in Salem Massachusetts on October 26th 1947.
She was third of four children. Her father, Thomas Henry Sullivan (1908-1989) and mother, MaryRose Bernedette (Girard) Sullivan (1916-1989) In 1968 Maryellen married David Lawrence Mason and had two daughters Kerry Ann and Kimberly Dawn. Maryellen worked out of her home, while raising her family. Later on in the 80’s, she earned her real estate license and began her real estate career. On time off the family would take trips to Florida, the Smokey and Blue Ridge mountains, a camp or two in New Hampshire and visits to see her older sister Barbara in Kittery ME. Fond memories of all her travels. While in her hometown of Beverly, she had her parents, two brothers Tom and Ludger, living close by. There were memorable holidays and cookouts throughout each year. She was especially close to her younger brother Ludger, who she always kept in close contact with. In 1989 the Mason family moved to North Port Florida where Maryellen continued her real estate career. Brother Ludger and Sister Barbra, followed down shortly after. Maryellen enjoyed the warmth of the sunshine state. In 1992 David and Maryellen did divorce and each remarried. Maryellen met and married Maurice Jean Denomme (1938-1998)
In her lifetime she enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, knitting, handmade peek-a-boo dolls, porcelain dolls and stuffed animals. Her crafty talent showed in all she created. She loved the Lord and was affiliated with the Catholic Church. She was very social and loved by many. She was an Am Vets and VFW member, where she had many friends and many good times. She loved the sunshine, the beach, her pool and getting out on the water, loved music, karaoke, regular dancing, square dancing, bowling and darts. She was an amazing, caring, loving person, who gave us memories we will cherish forever. May her soul rest in peace, in the heaven above, with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen 🙏

Maryellen had a severe stroke in January of 2023. She suffered from left side paralysis, and onset of vascular dementia. For the past three years Peter Topping, her life partner of 23 years, took care of her through each day. Both daughters were there for her morning and night and a just phone call away. Maryellen’s now at peace with our Lord.
