MaryEllen McNulty, 71, of Largo, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2026, at Suncoast Hospice Care Center in Pinellas Park, Florida.

MaryEllen was born and raised in Hingham, Massachusetts, where she attended local schools. She went on to become a talented hairstylist, beginning her professional career at Dellaria Salon in Braintree. Seeking new adventures, she moved south and proudly made Florida her home for more than 40 years.

MaryEllen was a successful business owner, opening Maryellen’s Doll House in Dunedin, Florida. There, she not only pampered her clients but treated them like family, showering them with love and affection. Her generosity extended well beyond the salon. She would deliver Thanksgiving dinners to those who had no place to go and, at Christmas, delighted her clients with bus trips to enjoy the beautiful holiday lights and displays.

MaryEllen shared her passion for life through her vibrant spirit and many hobbies. A lover of music and a talented artist, she always appreciated creativity. She was a loyal, lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox and had been eagerly planning a trip this summer to visit her family and catch a game at Fenway Park. She also loved fishing, spending relaxing time by the water, and never missed the opportunity to catch an episode of her favorite television show, Wicked Tuna.

MaryEllen was predeceased by her parents, William R. “Bud” McNulty, Jr. and Barbara J. (McKee) McNulty, and her oldest brother, William R. “Ray” McNulty, III.

She is survived by her six sisters and three brothers: Bobbie McNulty (P.J.) of East Sandwich, MA; Kerin Morales (Harry) of West Barnstable, MA; Maureen Martin (Charlie) of Bourne, MA; Kathleen Rice (Brian) of East Sandwich, MA; Patricia Bullock (Scott) of East Sandwich, MA; Terrence McNulty (Janet) of Hingham, MA; John McNulty of Cohasset, MA; Thomas McNulty (Maureen) of Scituate, MA; and Joanne O’Connor (David) of East Sandwich, MA.

She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and loving friends who will cherish her memory. MaryEllen is also survived by her beloved pets, her dog Sawyer and her cat Fenway.

A graveside service will be held at St. Paul’s Cemetery on Monday, September 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.

MaryEllen will be remembered for her generous heart, vibrant spirit, artistic talents, love of family and friends, and the many lives she touched throughout her journey.
