Matthew Dylan Ballein, age 26, of Fort McCoy/Ocala, passed away suddenly on December 29, 2023. Matthew was born on January 3, 1997 to his parents, Betty L. (Storer) Butcher and Darrell Gene Ballein in Wilmington, Ohio. He was a social, active man who had many friends. He enjoyed being with his family and friends, and was an animal lover. His family and friends will always remember him as a loving, giving, caring person.

Matthew is survived by his mother Betty L. Butcher, grandmother Donna L. Gruber as well as 3 aunts and 3 uncles on his mothers side. Also remaining are his 3 brothers; Joshua Adam Ballein, Charles Eric Morgan Jr., and Aaron Ballein, 2 sisters, Amy Nicole (Ballein) McClure and Sara Marie (Ballein) Neff. As well as many nieces, nephews and cousins on both sides.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather Eugene Nelson Gruber, and stepfather Robert Paul Butcher.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday March 2, 2023 at Jervey Gant Park in Ocala at 1:00pm with a releasing of balloons(supplied by family) and a sharing of memories. A picnic will follow. The family would appreciate everyone bringing a covered dish. Donations are much appreciated and can be sent to the established Go Fund Me on Facebook or to a drug awareness program in Matthew's name. Invitations will be sent on Facebook to RSVP.
