Matthew George Wondrasek, age 79, passed away peacefully on August 4th, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on May 9, 1947. Matthew was a man who touched many lives, and he will be remembered for his warm heart, generosity, outgoing spirit, making strangers feel instantly seen, safe, and valued. Matthew is survived by his devoted companion of 11 years, Deborah Sherry, his children, Aaron Wondrasek and Rachel Wondrasek; his sister, Judy Socha and his brother, Michael Wondrasek. He is also survived by his former wife, Tammy Wondrasek with whom he shared life and his beautiful grandchildren Jennifer Bundrick and Ethan Bundrick. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Arthur and Roselind Wondrasek; his first wife, Anna Wondrasek, the mother of his children; his brother, Arthur Wondrasek Jr, his sister, Susan Wondrasek, and brother Gerry Wondrasek. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Matt will be remembered as a man who kept his faith within his heart, and it colored his actions and words with kindness, and a gentle spirit. Matt, please know that we love you and will always remember you; and never forget, 22.
