Maude Owen Murray July 5, 1929 – February 3, 2023

Maude Owen Murray, age 93, died peacefully at Reflections Memory Care in Port Orange, Florida on February 3rd, 2023.

Maude was born on July 5th, 1929, in Wappingers Falls, NY to Herbert G and Ella Blackburn Owen. She graduated from Wappingers Central High School and worked at Central Hudson where she met her husband of 69 years, James F. Murray of Hyde Park, NY. While schooled in secretarial work, Maude truly enjoyed fashion and worked for many years at the Dress Barn in the town of Poughkeepsie. She and Jim were members of St Mary's Roman Catholic Church and Maude was active in the school's Mother's Guild, even after her children graduated. They never missed a party at the Knights of Columbus, especially if there was dancing.

Upon Jim's retirement in 1990, they moved to Port Orange where they enjoyed golfing, traveling, and being part of the Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church Community.

Maude is survived by her daughter Colleen DeCarlo, her son Tim Murray, both of Florida, her brother Herbert Owen of Rhinebeck NY, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Jim, their daughter Sally Ann Botellio, and her sister Ethel Relyea. Funeral Services will be held at St. Mary's Wappingers Falls at a later date TBA.
