Maureen Kish (formerly Maureen Casey from Dunellen, New Jersey) a resident of Port Orange, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family after a long, brave battle with lung cancer.  Maureen was a loving Mother, Grandmother and sister.  She is survived by her son, Scott Astringer and her daughter, Karen Peters, her grandchildren Jessica and Justin Astringer and Maya and Ella Peters. She is also survived by her siblings Kathleen Casey, Patricia Sheppard, Michael Casey, Edward Casey and Maggie Altomare and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, per Maureen's wish and the family's request, donations can be made directly to the thoracic team at Orlando Health Cancer Institute that treated her for close to 6 years and whose work gave her more years with her family than was ever expected at the following link: https://orlandohealth.formstack.com/forms/maureen_kish
