Melvin Gene Thurman, 63, of Bokeelia, FL passed away on June 30, 2019 at the Cape Coral Hospital. He was born on February, 14 1956 in Lansing, MI to the late James and Annie (Evans) Thurman of Lewis County, Kentucky. Melvin worked as a Truck Driver, master mechanic, and he enjoyed fishing, music, gold, singing, playing his mandolin, trading, tinkering with things, Florida and spending time with his family and friends.  Proceeded in death by Charlotte Thurman (sister), and Tim Thurman (brother) both of Vanceburg, Kentucky. He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Thurman of Bokeelia, FL, his son, Melvin Thurman Jr. (T.J.) of Punta Gorda, FL , his daughter, Erin Thurman of Bokeelia, FL, his daughter, Aimee Parson of Garrison, Kentucky, his 19 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and his siblings, Dean Thurman, Jamie Thurman, Karla Colegrove, Sheila Cooper, and Billy Thurman, all of Vanceburg Kentucky.  He was a wonderful husband, daddy, uncle, papaw, brother and loved by many. He will b greatly missed.
