Morris, Merrill Scott, "Joey", age 40, passed away at home on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, due to a heart condition. Joey was born October 16, 1982, in Voorhees, New Jersey. He was a graduate of Mariner High School, and lived in Cape Coral, Florida where he enjoyed his job as a cook at Buffalo Wild Wings. He was a faithful Christian, loved animals and watching the Philadelphia Eagles football games.

Joey is preceded in death by his father, Scott Morris and grandmother, Darlene Abele. Joey will be deeply missed by his mother, Nancy Abele; brothers, Nicholas Stevenson (girlfriend Jaishree Persaud) and Alexander Stevenson; grandmother; Glendora Morris; other relatives; Kaitlin Morris, Brandon Morris, Jonathan (Anna) Stevenson, Philip (Josie) Stevenson, Coltin and Christopher Stevenson.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on September 16, 2023, at the Vineyard Community Church, 923 SE 47th Terrace, Cape Coral, FL 33904.
