Michael Ware Barnes, 65, entered into eternal rest on August 17, 2021.  Michael was born in Sweetsburg, Canada, January 18, 1956.  Michael is preceded in death by mother, Alice Willey, his father Douglas Barnes (Betty). He is survived by his wife Debra Barnes, MS,  three sons, Michael "Mickey" Barnes Jr, Matthew Barnes, and Zackary Barnes, all of Cape Coral, FL. Brothers Steven Barnes (Debbie), Somers, CT and Alan Barnes (Vicky), Fort Myers, FL. Sisters Tammy Barnes (Linda) Yellowknife, Canada, and  Beverly (Winston) Mansonville, Canada. Nieces Tonya Senese (Butch), Stacy Ferro (Craig), and Nicole Tesini (Andrew). Nephew Scott Barnes (Katie) and their families. Many cousins and an aunt in Canada, Province of Quebec.

Michael was raised in Enfield, CT and graduated from Fermi High School where he also played football.  Michael enjoyed fishing and Nascar.  He worked at Barnes Construction, Enfield, CT until he moved to Cape Coral, FL where he worked at Barnes Pools, Inc. for many years and made his home in Cape Coral, FL.

Mike requested a private family Celebration of Life, so there will not be any additional services. If friends or family wish to honor his life, in his last weeks he was in the care of his 3 sons and Hospice Palliative Care.
