Gist, Michael R. (Mickey), 67, of Inverness, FL, walked on to his next eternal adventure Sunday, August 1 ^st , 2021.

He was born April 24, 1954 in Pontiac Michigan. He built a portable building and shed business with several locations in Inverness and Port Charlotte. Mick was an avid outdoorsman with exceptional rifle and archery skills, fishing, friends and family were his passions and hobby. If you were in his presence you were laughing and hearing incredible stories. Mick never met a stranger and welcomed everyone into his home and heart. He never missed any of his children's ball games and spent much of his time as they were growing up, coaching little league teams and teaching them and their friends about cars, boats, skiing, and the importance of being wonderful human beings.

Mick was preceded in death by his beloved mother (mama) Doris June Gist.

He is survived by his father Charles R. Gist (Denise), his wife, Lauri J. Gist; Sisters Jackie Morgan (Tom) and Rhonda Gist; His son, Nathaniel R. Gist (Whitley), Daughters Jessica J. Holloway, Laci Jo Gist, and Laureen L. Gist; 4 Grandchildren, Caleb, Aubrey, Kinsley and Saylor Grace. The family has opted to have a private family gathering at a later date and requests in lieu of flowers and cards, to please consider a donation to HPH Hospice of Citrus County, whom lovingly and caringly helped care for him.
